Kasoa burglary suspect arrested in Agbogbloshie after CCTV review

 A suspect has been taken into custody by the Ghana Police Service in relation to a theft and burglary case in Kasoa Nyayano in the Central Region.

According to a police statement, CCTV footage showed Ibrahim Abubakar Sadiq, the suspect, wearing the same clothing used during the break-in, and he was apprehended on June 16 from his hiding place in the Accra district of Agbogbloshie.

According to preliminary investigations, Sadiq grabbed £2,000 in cash, a UK driver's license, a Barclays ATM card, and an iPhone 14 Pro Max worth GH₵9,000 during the break-in.

The defendant confessed to the act during questioning and revealed that he had sold the iPhone 14 Pro Max for GH₵2,000 to an unidentified bidder in Agbogbloshie.

Sadiq is presently being held by the police, helping with investigations, and is anticipated to appear in court.
