The recent viral photos of a South African homosexual couple posing intimately at Ghana's Independence Arch and other national sites have drawn harsh criticism from Samuel Nartey George, Ghana's Minister for Communications and MP for Ningo-Prampram.
The outspoken MP, well-known for his strong opposition to LGBTQ+ advocacy, expressed his fury on the social networking platform X.
Sam George referred to the couple as "useless individuals" and said their acts were a direct assault on Ghana's moral fiber, calling the act a "despicable disrespect" to the country's national emblems and cultural values. He also berated the opposition NPP opponents who urged him to take action, calling them hypocritical for endorsing the previous President Akufo-Addo's decision to not sign the original Family Values Bill into law.
